Since storage prices are falling faster than bandwidth prices, the suggestion is that local storage is cheaper than cloud storage --- says cloud storage company report...

Your local data store belongs to you. The cloud data store means the data belong to them.
I'm so skeptical about the cloud that I would not even used it if I got paid for it.... (at least everything below 1000 ounces of gold daily ;-)
